Cardiac paragangliomas are a very rare primary location of paraganglioma. Approximately 1-2% of paragangliomas occur in the chest, less than 0.3% are cardiac locations. We report the case of a patient with a cardiac paraganglioma, which was an accidental finding during an echocardiographic examination. As the tumor did not show signs of hormone production before the operation, this type of rare tumor was not thought of and the diagnosis was made only on the basis of histological examination.
